Chambers
The opening in which your new stove sits is called the chamber. Depending on the finish you are looking for we provide many different options to suit your desired appearance.
Brickwork Chamber
A newly formed brickwork chamber is built to meet the clients desired appearance, the chamber can be constructed in new facing brick or a re-claimed brick, also can have the addition of brick arches, herringbone panels and oak beams as focal point features.
Chamber walls are lined with a flame resistant fireboard. Once painted with emulsion leaves a clean and modern appearance. This type of Installation is popular as the hearth and stove acts as the focal point to the room.
The existing builders opening is opened up to its original state. If in fair condition the brickwork can then be treated with chemicals to clean up the brick face, the existing mortar is raked out and then repointed to leave a reinstated brickwork chamber.
Wooden beams and surrounds can be supplied and installed to introduce a focal point to both the appliance and the room. Many options are available in terms of materials including oak/ limestone/ granite/ slate/ marble/ cast iron.
Various hearths can be supplied and fitted to meet the clients desired appearance. These range from Brazilian riven/ honed-slate/ granite/Yorkstone and Indian-stone. I also provide an added option, in which the client can design their own quarry tile hearth.
